That is certainly how I would imagine Captain Nemo's office to appear. Verne described it as much more decadent, I think, but I do in fact like this version as well, if not, better, than his. I definitely like the touches that make it a submarine - the pipes, bulkhead, and even the door. That door is most excellent. And you can literally feel the tension in the scene. Nemo is cool, leaning back and smoking, and the unknown assailant is probably nervously moving, attempting to keep his aim straight. Nemo's probably talking to him nonchalantly, about to use some gadget to end this contest. Heh. Very nicely done, indeed.
I certainly think I shall add this to my favorites collection.
