Welcome home by *raybender
Home, sweet home.. With the help of well chosen colours and a great composition, *raybender has created a very dramatic scene. (Featured by `gucken)
Nothing quite says it like a hot-figured woman holding a gun to the back of a man's head!
The lighting in the sky and reflection off the characters is wonderful, all very well set in their places. However the bright light in the upper right has a beam that shoots toward his head and ends about the same location of her gun; gives off a bit of an appearance that there is supposed to be a connection between the two, when I know there isn't. Consider altering the location of that light beam a bit higher so that it doesn't look like a misaligned ricochet.
As for her hair, I noticed you mentioned you weren't too sure about it, there's an easy fix for that; the strands that stand alone shouldn't be as thick as the power lines above her. Thin them out a little, and remove the one that seems to fight the flow of all the rest of them (the thick lightning bolt single strand on the bottom of the section of long hairs that intertwines with those above it). Remember that hair is often shiny, some reflection from the light sources will help in its realism.
You've put amazing attention to detail throughout this piece, and I'm certain I wouldn't want to live there as it is well made to feel desolate and cold - a place I would rather not be.
The reason I gave you four stars for Originality, is that the vehicle and characters are very similar to a game I played a few years ago called Auto Assault, mixed with a bit of Halo.
All your art is simply amazing, i can't stop coming back to watch it again!
I have one question for you, recently i started digital painting after a lot of 8 hour classes in traditional drawing and sketches. I tried 2K but it was really difficult for me to work on it, it also took a lot time making it less pixelated, and it doesn't really look good zoomed over 1K. Reason is i have only 3GB ram available and photoshop took doing these drawings around 540Mbytes. How much ram does an average painting of yours consume in 5/10K?
hi. i dont know your configuration, but in 2K at 8 Bit Color Depth there really should be NO Memory Issues at all with your 3GB RAM... sounds like a problem with your hardware
